Amend/Modify a Confirmed Booking

What can be amended after a booking has been confirmed and how to do it.

This article will explain What You Can Amend:

  1. Change the date, start or end time

  2. Adding or Removing Attendees

  3. Change the space type or room size

  4. Change the location

  5. Add amenities

  6. Amend a multi day or recurring booking

Please note: once a booking is confirmed, the name of the booker cannot be changed. To make a reservation for someone else, you would need to cancel the existing booking and create a new one under their name. Only users with an Admin role have permission to book on behalf of others.


1. Change the Date, Start, or End Time

  1. Select Reservations (on the web or app).

  2. Find the booking in My Reservations, and proceed to update the date, start time, or end time

  3. Finalize your update by clicking Modify (web) or Confirm (app).

✅ You will receive an email confirmation once your update is complete.

⚠️ Changes must follow the space's modification policy. Check the cancellation policy for details. Certain space providers (e.g., WeWork) do not allow modifications after confirmation. contact CHAT for assistance.


2. Add or Remove Attendees

  1. Select Reservations (on the web or app).

  2. Find the booking in My Reservations, and proceed to update

  3. In the reservation summary, click Edit Attendees (web) or scroll down to edit attendees in the App.

  4. Add or remove team members or external guests, then click Apply (web) or Done (App).

✅ You will receive an email confirmation of your updated reservation.

⚠️ You can only add as many attendees as there are seats available. Certain space providers (e.g., WeWork) do not allow modifications after confirmation. contact CHAT for assistance.


3. Change the Space Type or Room Size

  1. Cancel the existing booking (see Cancel a Booking for steps).

  2. Book or Request the new space (see How to Make a Booking for instructions).

✅ You will receive email confirmations for both the cancellation and the new reservation.

⚠️ Ensure the new space is available before cancelling the current booking. Check the cancellation policy for any applicable fees.

If there are cancellation fees for changing within the same location, contact CHAT for assistance.


4. Change the Location

  1. Cancel the existing booking (see Cancel a Booking for steps).

  2. Book or request the new space (see How to Make a Booking for instructions).

✅ You will receive email confirmations for both the cancellation and the new reservation.

⚠️ Ensure the new space is available before cancelling the current booking. Check the cancellation policy for any applicable fees.


5. Add Amenities

Currently, amenities cannot be added to confirmed bookings on the Upflex platform.

If you need to add an amenity (e.g., a whiteboard or flipchart), contact CHAT for assistance.

⚠️ Catering should be arranged directly with the space.


6. Amend a Multi-Day or Recurring Booking

Each booking within a multi-day or recurring reservation must be modified individually.
